Label checking service
Reading a label and checking it are two different things, and most errors survive precisely because they were only ever read. A proper check works through documentation, regulatory requirements, and gap resolution in stages, each catching something the others wouldn’t.
What happens if a label isn’t compliant?
We give you a clear breakdown of the issue and what needs to change, ranked by risk. For own-label ranges, we can also handle the supplier-facing conversation directly, so you’re not the one chasing the correction.
How long does a label review take?
It depends on volume. A single product can usually be turned around in a few days. For own-label ranges or multi-supplier programmes, we agree a schedule upfront so reviews don’t hold up your launch or re-order timelines.
What allergen information must appear on UK food labels?
UK law requires the 14 major allergens to be clearly identified wherever they are present: cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, tree nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, and sulphites, lupin and molluscs. On prepacked food these must be emphasised within the ingredients list. MNGP can review your products and labelling to make sure allergens are declared correctly.
How do I make sure my food labels comply with UK regulations?
UK food labelling law sets strict rules for ingredient declarations, allergen information and nutrition, and getting them wrong can lead to recalls or enforcement action. MNGP’s food technologists prepare and check labels against current UK regulations, so you can be confident your packaging is legal and gives customers the information they need.
