Shelf-Life Testing

Do you know how long your product really lasts?

Contact Us

A shelf life date isn't a guess, it's a claim you have to back up. Guessed or copied dates fail in one of two directions: too short wastes good stock, too long risks a recall. We build the evidence base, covering microbiological safety, chemical stability, and sensory quality, so the date you launch with holds.

Shelf-Life Testing Services

Shelf Life Testing how does it work ?

We assess formulation, packaging, and intended shelf life, then run microbiological and sensory testing across the proposed period, using accelerated trials for an early indication. Because accelerated trials estimate rather than confirm, we always validate results against real time trials before finalising a date. You get a recommended date backed by full documentation of both accelerated and real time data, so it holds up under scrutiny.

Microbiological and Chemical Analysis

We check for spoilage organisms and pathogens across your product’s intended life, tracking pH and water activity alongside them, since both influence how readily microorganisms grow.

Together they build the fuller picture behind a shelf life date grounded in evidence, not assumption.

Organoleptic Assessment

Safety isn’t the only thing that changes over time. Products can stay safe to eat while quality declines in ways consumers notice, like softened crunch or faded flavour.

We track taste, texture, appearance, and smell throughout the shelf life period, so the date on pack reflects when the product stops being at its best, not just when it stops being safe.
